A Slice of Life
Slice of Life choices for the week of March 23, 2008 were:
1. First day of school.
2. Wedding proposal.
3. Easter Sunday.
Once you have posted your Slice of Life Sunday story on your blog, come back and leave a comment with the url to your post. My true desire is for each of us to harvest wisdom from both the joy of reliving the good memories in our lives and the strength gained from gleening what we can from the not-so-good memories and then putting them away for good.

I was able to get here from your other blog :D…this is cool! I’ll see if I get time to do this meme
I like memes….
~~Hi Jen, thank you for visiting. I look forward to reading a slice of your life. I have read many of your writings and I hoped you would want to be a part of my project. Cricket

This sounds like lots of fun and I may choose to participate (at least occasionally). I’ve added this new blog to my Google Reader and will look forward to reading the Slice of Life stories folks contribute (along with your own, of course). This weekend I’m watching tennis and am a bit overloaded with ‘the stuph of life’ … so maybe I’ll try another day … or in a future week when I can relax and write without distraction.
Happy Easter to you and yours!
Hugs and blessings,
~~ Hi Storyteller, thank you for visiting today. Yes, I realized this would be a busy weekend for everyone. I do have several reasons for beginning this project on this particular weekend though, which will be explained in the book. I do look forward to having you participate as one of the writers for my project. I actually made a list of 20 blogger’s whose writing I admire and I am so pleased three of them have visited me on the my very first day. I will take this as a sign of God’s blessing for this project. Cricket

Signed, meme addict…LOL
~~Hi Jen, thank you so much for being my very first writer! I have your slices of life saved in The Pie Safe. I am still laughing about your husband running down the stairs in his underwear! Cricket

Hi Cricket, I didn’t think I’d have time this weekend to participate, although I thought it was a great project you were working on.
But I realized tonight that I actually have already shared several Easter memories, in my last Veggies….post. Making it even better, several of my blog readers also shared their own special memories of Easter.
So, with that in mind, I’m including the link back to this post. I hope this is ok, not limited to just Easter Sunday but I think in some ways, much more, in having the other contributors sharing their own memories. And to me, that’s the best thing about writing and blogging; getting the feedback and other’s relating their own similar stories/memories of events and special days.
Here’s my Easter post and comments:

Huggs, G
~~ Hi Geraldine, Thanks for stopping back by. I have copied your Easter memory into the Pie Safe and have also visited a few of the bloggers who left comments on your blog about their Easter memories asking them to submit a story. I don’t think it would right of me to just copy their comment without thir permission. Hopefully they will come here and let me know if they want to participate. Thanks again and hope to see you again soon. Cricket

~~Hi Morgan, I have your proposal tucked away in the Pie Safe. I love how you knew when you met he was the one. And I laughed at the early morning calendar - got to get them to make the decisions quick! Thanks and hope to see you again this Sunday. Cricket

Hi Cricket,
Couldn’t figure out what to write for week 10 so I came to see what week 1 had to offer… Here is my little story about my first day of school:
