Slice of Life - week 5
You are more than welcome to submit your Slice of Life story on any or all of the following prompts even though they are from a past week post. As a writer, I know I do my best writing when I write about a prompt that “gets to me” instead of forcing a write on a specific prompt during a specific time frame.
Slice of Life choices for the week of April 20, 2008 were:
1. Unexpected Houseguest.
2. Favorite Aunt.
3. Prom Date.

My true desire is for each of us to harvest wisdom from both the joy of reliving the good memories in our lives and the strength gained from gleening what we can from the not-so-good memories and then putting them away for good. I am looking forward to being a part of one of your prompt week’s, really really soon! I wasn’t ‘moved’ LOL by the choices for this week, nor was I over at Writer’s Island. Wrote about rain instead, one of my favs of the elements.
I hope to be more inspired next week and will stop by then to check out your next week’s choices. Great idea. In the meantime, love to drool over that gorgeous piece of pie photo!!!! Yummm…
~~ I completely understand about needing to be “moved” to write. My entry this week to Unexpected Houseguest takes a completely odd turn than what most would expect, but it is what moved me. Hopefully something will click next week. In the meantime, why not make a pie!Cricket

Hi, a little late on this one but I wrote about my aunt.
~~Hi Irishcoda - no you are not late, you are welcome to write about any prompt at any time. What a nice story about your aunt. She obviously has a lot of “spunk.” Those kind of people make our lives so much more enjoyable! Cricket
