Pecan Pie
This week’s pie recipe is from the World’s Largest Buffet: The Official Cookbook. The community of Holmes County, Ohio, home of the world’s largest Amish settlement, broke the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Buffet on March 24, 2007 by putting on a feast - the biggest feast in the entire world - serving more than 520 dishes to just over 2000 people! All the dishes were prepared by local restaurants, bakeries, and nursing homes from recipes submitted by residents and businesses fromall over the county and surrounding area. The recipe book can be purchased by contacting the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce. This Pecan Pie recipe was submitted by Mrs. Jean Hostetler of Walnut Creek, a local resident.
